28 May 2014 - CBC News - Liberal Senator Romeo Dallaire says he's retiring from the Senate.Dallaire was named to the Senate by Paul Martin in 2005. He wasn't set to retire until 2021.

During his time in the Senate, he worked on his Romeo Dallaire Child Soldier Initiative, as well as being a voice for veterans. He is also an inspiring public speaker in huge demand, and his workload was becoming intolerable, he said.

He will retire on June 17, a significant date, he explained, as it is the day he learned the French intended to send in a force to stop the genocide in Rwanda.

As today is the first day of May it seems to be an appropriate day to change some of the photos in the headers on each of the pages.
Seeing how May is the month to celebrate Artillery Day, I thought it would be appropriate to post some pictures of the many salutes that the Gunners perform across Canada. For your viewing pleasure, I've also included some photos of the Artillery from other nations that also participate in commemorative salutes.
I came across enough salute pictures to not only do the headers, but also enough to put in the following slide show.
